SherlockHolmes: The Awakened IGN Review (5/10) Weird. All the reviews I saw on Steam earlier were favorable. Yeah most of the other reviews are positive, IGN is the first I’ve seen that’s quite so bad. I'm playing it currently and it's just more of the same so if you liked chapter 1 then this is fine.

Justrealised you weren't asking solely about the Frogware games. I'd agree with Ludwig van Eisenthal that the Case of the Rose Tattoo is an excellent game, probably my favourite Sherlock Holmes game overall. The earlier Case of the Serrated Scalpel isn't quite as good but it's still well worth playing.

TheTestament of Sherlock Holmes is also good. A little rougher around the edges, but very enjoyable. Some puzzles are kind of "eh" and feel contrived in the setting, but other than that quite good. Can't recommend The Devil's Daughter. The earlier ones before Testament of Sherlock Holmes are dated, but still pretty okay.

Written in the original Strand Magazine style and told by Theonly real negative are those mini-games and honestly, they aren't in the game often enough to really hurt the game that much. I think overall it is an okay game that will appeal more to someone already a fan of Sherlock Holmes than creating a new fan who wants to play a good video game.
