Separatethe plug and test the pin 1 on the ECM side for 12v presence when cranking the engine. The ECM expects to see 12v on that monitor line (the lower ECM pin in the diagram, pin 85 on your CAGA engine) attached to the output line going to the T5l plug. It sets the P3053 when it does not see the 12v.
